Professional Development

The Early Education Programs and Services department offers a number of professional development opportunities on a variety of topics for preschool, infant/toddler teachers and administrators, and family early care and learning providers.

The SDQPI Professional Learning page has a list of all offerings for the program year. Professional learning opportunities are aligned to one or more elements of the California Quality Counts California Quality Continuum Framework. The elements are research-based indicators of quality and provided a recommended structure for quality improvement.

SDQPI Training Registration policy: To allow equitable access to SDQPI trainings, participants are required to cancel their registration for any training at least 48 hours prior to the start of the training by emailing sdcoepl@sdcoe.net.  Participants are not permitted to register for multiple trainings that occur on the same day(s) and time.

Certificates of attendance will be issued electronically to the email address provided at the time of registration. In accordance with program policy, certificates are generated and distributed only once. Please ensure that the correct email address is provided during registration, as changes cannot be accommodated after submission. Certificates are issued only to participants who register for and access the event through official registration channels; certificates are not available for individuals who access the event through shared links. Certificates are only issued if attendance requirements are met; arriving late or leaving early will disqualify participants from receiving a certificate. Participants must log into Zoom individually using their own device to receive a certificate of attendance.
